MET Sales and Trad­ing, the trad­ing, whole­sale and sales seg­ment of Swiss-based en­ergy com­pany MET Group, ac­quired a ma­jor­ity stake in Zephiros En­ergy Trad­ing S.A. The ac­quis­i­tion marks an­other step in MET Group’s long-term growth strategy, open­ing new op­por­tun­it­ies across the Greek en­ergy sec­tor, par­tic­u­larly in the rap­idly de­vel­op­ing re­new­able en­ergy and bat­tery en­ergy stor­age seg­ments.

Án­gel Crespo, CEO of MET En­er­gía, one of the lead­ing in­de­pend­ent elec­tri­city and gas sup­pli­ers, is cel­eb­rat­ing its tenth an­niversary in Spain. In 2025, MET Group's con­sol­id­ated sales rev­enue reached €28.5 bil­lion, with a total gas volume traded of 242 bil­lion cu­bic meters (ten times Spain's con­sump­tion) and an elec­tri­city volume of 160 TWh.

MET In­ter­na­tion­al, the trad­ing and whole­sale arm of Swiss-based en­ergy com­pany MET Group, and Shell entered into a new long-term LNG pur­chase agree­ment, mark­ing an­other sig­ni­fic­ant mile­stone in their long-stand­ing co­oper­a­tion in LNG and gas trad­ing. The agree­ment fur­ther sup­ports MET Group's am­bi­tion to sup­ply its European cus­tom­ers with LNG sourced from the Un­ited States.
